Hat Dispatch

This Oversized Birdcage Fascinator is going Ascot, so keep your eyes peeled for it....

The idea is a old birdcage made out of silver quills, with a creeping flower growing through it, then lots of escaping butterflies. The butterflies are our native orange tip butterfly, which is massively in decline, each butterfly has been handmade by myself & takes 25mins each. The lady is wearing a black fitted dress with a hint of silver around the top. In total this creation has taken over 35 hours to put together!! It is totally a one off....

Many thanks

Hat Dispatch - Customer Retrim

This Black Hat with a Red Feather Rose is a Hat re-trim for a customer who was struggling to find a match to her dress. I had to dye the feathers & then shape them into a rose to match the detail on her fabulous dress. I also added black velvet ribbon to tie in the ladies black suede shoes. The customer didn't want much putting on the hat. This hat is being worn this weekend to a wedding.

Many thanks

Incy Wincy Spider

I was out gardening, which then turned to tea drinking & snoozing......in the sunshine, when I was bitten on my cheek by this.......

Which is slightly zoomed & is only 4-5 mm - a crab spider..apparently they don't normally bite, only when they feel threatened....maybe me slapping it & trying to squash it....might be why?!?

I lost the feeling in my left cheek, it was burning, temperature....all not very pleasant...it took nearly 2 weeks for me to feel normal again.

So I am now on catch up...Sorry to my very understanding customers...back to it I go.
